Management Bagpuss Posted February 21, 2009 Management Report Posted February 21, 2009 First of all, thank you to all the members who have taken the trouble to PM us to inform us of a 'spam' PM they've recieved from a now banned member called mirfirker. Sal banned him at about 3am today but this was obviously after he'd sent the link out. Admin are unable to see PMs sent between members so we've no idea exactly to whom he has sent them. If you receive one then we can only apologise. The link (for those who like me haven't clicked on it) leads to a site which appears to be a harmless one offering Viagra for sale but obviously it's best to just delete the PM without clicking on the link - which I'm sure you'd do anyway. Once again apologies for this situation. Quote
Management Hawker Posted February 21, 2009 Management Report Posted February 21, 2009 And as Janet's said, we don't see the content of PMs and we don't track who talks to who... so if you receive something objectionable - whether it's spam or someone hassling you, for example - please contact one of the Staff team (or me or Janet) so that we can look into it further. If we don't know about it, we can't stop it. Quote
Liquid Beauty Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Hear the one about the bloke who got a Viagra pill stuck in his throat? He ended up with a stiff neck! (I'll get my coat!) 1 Quote
~Em~ Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Can banned members still view the board, just not post? It's just I see the member in question is online now. Quote
Management Bagpuss Posted March 3, 2009 Author Management Report Posted March 3, 2009 I'll have to leave Sal to answer this fully as although he's definitely banned I'm not sure what they means re: viewing and whether he can actually read posts or not. Interestingly enough, although you must have seen him on the 'active users' list, he's not showing up on the 'The following members have visited today...' list at the bottom of the forum...? Quote
Management Hawker Posted March 3, 2009 Management Report Posted March 3, 2009 Banned members can't view the board like we can view the board - so yeah, when they visit, it tends to log their appearance but they can't see or do anything. Quote
